What Is The Latest Ceramic Products In Cersaie 2008 Of Bologna, And New Technology And Equipment In Tecnargilla 2008 Of Rimini.

Cersaie 2008 in Bologna (Italy), Tecnargilla 2008 in Rimini (Italy) held on September 30 to October 4, which is the largest exhibition of ceramic products and technology exhibition. Bologna Cersaie attracted more than 1100 exhibitors, approximately 500 companies is from manufactory of ceramic tile, and 400 companies from sanitary ware. Tecnargilla is for the latest ceramic technology and equipments exhibition. There is 700 companies participated in the fair, it covers an area of more than 80,000 square meters.

In fact, the mainstream products in Cersaie Exhibition is similar 2006 and 2007. Most of all is rustic porcelain tiles, some of the ceramic wall tile, Little in polished porcelain tile. Metal glazed porcelain tile and wood-like porcelain tile still catch everybody’ eyes, but more exquisite than last years. Others is also popular like woven tile and stone-like tile ( stone pattern or sandstone), but seldom for leather tile.
Mosaic tile and relevant products become more and more popular. A famous ceramic manufactory in Japan only show there mosaic products, but there is not any ceramic tile.
ceramic products (Plastic forming) is more different than last year, including not only brick cladding, but also the large size architectural terracotta for exterial cladding (flat or curved), glazed (glossy or matt), unglazed wall and floor tiles. It seem to indicate a major trend of the ceramic tile development today. Even though there is few changes of product trend in Cersaie, the decorative color is in big difference. It show a large numbers of Metallic, Hyper-saturated, Macropattern, Hyper-light, Iridescent reflection items.

In Tecnargilla exhibition, it showed mainly for the ceramic industrial equipment first, raw material and chamicals second. The ink jet printing equipment manufacturer, led by the Kerajet company is one of the highlights in the exhibition. In my memory, this kind of equipment have been shown in 2004 in the first time. But for the expensive machine and working in slow printing speed, it is not suitable for large scale production. In this exhibition, there is more than 8 companies shown there ink jet printing system, and the system of Sertam company really catch my eyes. It uses for a decorative wall tile. The machine need USD220,000, and spray nozzle USD2500, colorant USD140,000/ton. It is cheap and simple.(See Above Pictures). it seem the application of ink jet printing is already around the corner. I believe it will comw to China soon.

In the same time, pug, extrusion forming machine and relevan technology come forth in the exhibition, probably it is concerned with the market enlarged for the architectural terracotta, brick cladding for external facade. Most of the machine and technology is from Germany. I notice one of the German company make two huge curved tile with these technology. Also, they made wall panels consisting of terracotta tubes , rather remarkable. In fact, architectural terracotta is rather a environment-friendly building material, low energy consumption, 100
Recyclable. It is popular used in Europe and USA. Nowaday it is more and more acceptalbe in the world market. In China there is only two manufactory have the large size architectural terracotta for external cladding. One is in Fujian province, the other is in Zhejiang province. They also use the Germany technology. I believe it will make a rapid progress in construction market for an economic stimulus package in China.
